Installing Vitruvius

Download

The installer comes from our own domain, with no sign-up: Download Vitruvius (Vitruvius-Setup-0.4.2.exe, version 0.4.2, 16 MB).

If Windows shows a warning

1. Open the file you downloaded, usually in your Downloads folder.
2. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC" (SmartScreen): click "More info", then "Run anyway".
3. If a User Account Control box appears, click Yes. In the setup wizard: Next → Install → Finish.

Revit versions

One installer for every Revit version, Revit 2024–2027. It detects which versions are installed on the machine and installs for each.

• Windows 10/11 (64-bit).
• AutoCAD must be installed on the computer. You do not need to open it, and you do not need to be signed in to an Autodesk account.

Activation

Open Revit (close and reopen it if it was open). On the Vitruvius tab click "Activate", and the sign-in happens in your browser. If Revit asks about an unsigned add-in, choose "Always Load".

Without a network

First step
